What’s your concept of paradise? If it’s an island in the Pacific ocean with a high-end resort developed by a millionaire, then you’ll like Hayman Island.

Hayman is the most northerly of the Whitsunday Islands off the east coastline of Australia, overlapping the fantastic barrier Reef in northern Queensland. The resort itself, developed by aeronautical millionaire Reg Ansett in the ‘50s, holds the record as Australasia’s many awarded high-end nature-resort.

After a series of transformations, Hayman Island resort is now a true high-end retreat. Its many recent restoration was in 2011 after a series of tropical cyclones required the island to close for a number of months because of comprehensive damage.

Now, I might waffle on as well as on about exactly how gorgeous this location is, however I believe I’ll let the photos do all the talking.

The finest method to get to Hayman Island is by helicopter. What a spectacular point of view of the archipelago.

As well as the beach, you can check out the ponds, pools as well as rainforest on Hayman too.

And you’ll even discover a couple of local swans in the middle of the Whitsundays!
